If you follow this blog, you’ll know that I’m usually trying to point out the links between our mental and spiritual health and our physical health, because the world generally treats physical health as a closed system that only depends on sleep, diet and exercise, as though our brain has no other impact on what’s going on with our bodies.
My approach is very different: if the body is feeling a problem, it’s because it’s only manifesting some issue the soul is having, which comes out in the emotions, and then if it isn’t dealt with and / or acknowledged, that shows up as a physical health problem.
This is particularly true of chronic health issues including aches and pains.
So, when my back started feeling weak a few months’ ago, I knew it was connected to the terrible stress I’d been under. What still caught me by surprise, however, is that when the back muscles started to weaken, my lower stomach muscles went with them, and all of a sudden, I had a pot belly.
I’m 44, and I’ve NEVER had a pot belly, not even after my kids were born. I’m not a ‘skinny’ person, but that’s just not an area that I tend to carry my flab in.
Again, I was so preoccupied and stressed out, it took a while for this to register, let alone for me to start figuring out what to do about it. But then my clothes (which are all designed to fit a slimmer waist and bigger bottom) started to feel pretty uncomfortable, and even in the midst of all the stress and upset, the penny dropped I had to get to grips on the situation from the body, up.
Stomach fat is fed by stress, directly, and in turn, it feeds stress. The fat cells produce a lot of cortisol, which is a ‘stress hormone’, and cortisol produces fat cells, in a yucky vicious cycle that is still very poorly understood.
That’s why even if you’re watching your diet and exercising regularly, you may still develop stomach fat if you’re never-endingly stressed.
So, this is what I’ve started doing to try to take down the flab:
1)Start walking and talking to God, ideally for an hour a day.
I was talking to God at home for an hour a day, but I realized I have to start moving around more, and as I am anyway talking to God then, and as I often get even better insights when I walk and talk, combining the two is a really excellent way of getting on top of the fat-causing stress from the spiritual side, while also burning more calories from the body side of things.
‘Enough’ is not a fixed part of the equation here. The experts often say 8 hours, but really most parents just can’t manage that regularly, so I can’t think that MUST be what we need to be getting to function properly.
I recently read that if you have a good, relaxing sleep even just one night a week, or a good snooze in the day even just one day a week, you live as long as people who get a regular 8 hours every night. This makes more sense to me, as it fits in with God’s ‘shabbos’ paradigm, where one day a week, we have a day of rest.
To put this another way, that Shabbos shluff is actually holy and helping you live longer.
3)Use Rescue Remedy liberally.
Rescue Remedy is a Bach Flower remedy, and it really does help to reduce subliminal stress – that feeling of being wound-up without even really knowing why. If you’re having troubles going to sleep or staying asleep, try the night version. Otherwise, swig down some drops whenever you are feeling ‘stressed’. (The drops are certified kosher, the sweets and pastilles aren’t, at least not in Israel.)
4)Do some exercise specifically to strengthen your stomach / back muscles.
So, I was walking around for six months already, and doing all the above, but the pot belly barely shrank (although I do feel much healthier and fitter again, BH, and have more energy).
It suddenly struck me, dunce that I am, that I actually might need to re-strengthen the muscles in my stomach and back that went all weak a while back, so they can hold my stomach back in the right place.
I hate, hate, hate gyms.
I can’t do things like play tennis or basketball like I used to, not least for tznius reasons, so then what?
Enter: HASfit, a Youtube outfit that actually has some good videos made by people who believe in keeping their clothes on and not frying your brain out with terrible music. (Much rarer than you might think, in our day and age). Even better, they have a whole range to pick from, including five minute work outs for middle aged women who haven’t properly exercised for years.
And the last thing to tell you is that some of their videos are even suitable for men, like the two I’m linking to in this post, which only has Coach Kozak doing his thing in a very tznius setting.
I’m still at the beginners stage, but after doing 5 minutes of easy stomach exercises 3-4 days a week, I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel, BH. So, put your blanket down on the floor, wear something suitable, and hit play!
(The first one, above, is for beginners, and anyone can do it, or at least, make a brave attempt. The second one, below, is much harder, but you can move on to that once your stomach muscles grow back.)
I know I’m not the only one having stress-induced stomach flab issues. And even though I’m working on the flab-causing-stress from the top down, sometimes we also have to work on the stress-causing-flab from the bottom up, too.
The late Dr John Sarno, MD, was considered to be quite a maverick by the medical establishment. Over the last few decades of his life, his research and practice into the causes and cures of backache led him to the remarkable viewpoint that MOST of the body’s aches and pains were caused by EMOTIONAL ISSUES, and not physical wear-and-tear on the body.
Despite running a number of well-designed clinical trials which proved his thesis, and despite having thousands and thousands of ‘cured’ patients that the medical establishment had pretty much given up on, his peers in Western medicine still regarded Dr Sarno as something of a lunatic.
I mean, everyone knows that backaches (and hip aches, and neck aches and a few other things besides) only happen because of a physical cause or accident. The person strained themselves, stretched themselves, bent down funny, herniated a disk, wore-out a hip bone… Case closed, there’s nothing more to discuss.
Except…Western medicine is plain wrong on that score, as I’ve been going on about for years’ now, not least in a couple of my books: Talk to God and Fix Your Health: The Real Reasons Why We Get Sick and How to Stay Healthy, and How Your Emotions Are Making You Sick.
Chinese medicine and other reputable energy medicine practices like applied kinesiology have been making the link between ‘emotions’ and ‘physical health’ for millennia. But Western medicine, with its frankly lunatic need to see human beings as chemical compositions and bits of animated meat, has been so ‘anti’ the idea that a person’s emotions, or spiritual dimension, has anything to do with their physical health, that even medical doctors touting excellent research can’t really persuade them otherwise.
So, what is it that Dr Sarno actually says about it all?
(The best thing is to go and read one of his books, like ‘Healing back pain: the mind-body connection’, but let’s see if I can sum it up for you below).
CHRONIC BACK PAIN IS NOT USUALLY CAUSED BY STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS
First, he identified that in nearly all cases chronic back pain was NOT being caused by herniated disks, slipped disks, dissolving disks or other ‘structural’ issues. He discovered that in nearly all cases, a person’s back pain started up in response to some sort of notable stress, that got ‘somatized’ as back pain.
Somatization basically means that the human brain takes a big emotional pain that it doesn’t really want to deal with or face on the conscious level, and turns it into a physical pain instead.
He discovered that people were having massive attacks of debilitating back pain after having enormous problems at work, or in their marriages and families, or when someone they loved died, or when they were facing enormous financial issues, to name some of the most common reasons.
He also discovered that a particular type of person, one that he characterized as being ‘a worrier, overly-conscientious and responsible, compulsive and perfectionist’ was distinctly more prone to chronic and severe physical aches and pains.
But that still didn’t answer the question of HOW the body was transforming these ‘emotional pains’ into physical pains, which is the next question Dr Sarno set out to answer. He came up with what I’ll call a ‘Western Medical’ description of the problem, and identified a syndrome that he called Tension Myoneural Syndrome, or TMS for short.
He discovered that TMS could affect three different types of tissue:
He also discovered that most patients - 40% in one survey he conducted - believed that their chronic back pain began thanks to some sort of fall or physical accident that had happened a long time ago.
Sarno began to take issue with this belief, because as he notes in his book:
“Our body parts tend to heal very quickly when they are injured. Even the largest bone in the body, the femur, only takes six weeks to heal. And during that process, there is pain for only a very short time. It’s illogical to think that an injury that occurred two months ago might still be causing pain, not to mention one or two or ten years ago. And yet people have been so thoroughly indoctrinated with the idea of persistent injury that they accept it without question.”
So Sarno started to look for an alternative explanation for what was causing the feeling of pain. After many years of exploring the question, he came to the conclusion that oxygen deprivation and the autonomic nervous system (ANS) was at the root of the problem.
UNDERSTANDING THE AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM (ANS)
The autonomic nervous system, or ANS, is controlled by the primitive part of the brain that is responsible for all of the body’s involuntary functions, like breathing, digestion, heart-rate, sleep and - yes you guessed it! - the fight / flight / freeze / fawn stress response that I like to write so much about here, on spiritual self-help.
Sarno realized that the ANS controls the body’s blood flow - with exquisite, detailed precision - increasing and decreasing the blood flow to whatever part of the body it wishes.
When a part of the body gets less blood flow than it should- something that’s called ischemia in Western medical parlance - it also gets less oxygen. When human tissue gets lets oxygen than it requires, that causes a whole bunch of physical symptoms like pain, numbness, tingling and weakness.
Sarno identified that repressed anger and repressed anxiety were the main emotions causing the ANS to pull the ‘oxygen deprivation’ stunt in the body (and it’s no coincidence that these are the main emotions traumatized people try to repress, as discussed in detail in other posts.)
WHAT TYPES OF PHYSICAL CONDITIONS COULD BE TRACED TO TMS / EMOTIONAL CAUSES?
Next, Sarno identified some of the most common ‘illnesses’ that he believed were also being caused by a TMS / oxygen deprivation response to emotional triggers. As well as straight-up ‘pain’, these also included:
He also identified a number of ‘diagnoses’ that were usually given by medical doctors to ‘explain’ much of the pain his patients were experiencing as a result of the emotional-based problem of TMS, including:
Herniated discs, pinched nerves, the Facet Syndrome, arthritis of the spine, transitional verterbra, spondylosis, spina bifida occulta, spondylolisthesis, scoliosis, osteoarthritis of the hip, chondromalacia, bone spurs, bursitis, tendonitis, coccydynia, neuroma, plantar fasciitis, mononeuritis multiplex, Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ), inflammation, and soft tissue disorders including fibromyalgia (fibrositis, myofibrositis and myofasciitis).
Yes, these things may be observed in the body, but Sarno stressed again and again: this isn’t what’s causing the pain!!! The pain was coming from unresolved emotional issues that the brain was ‘hiding’ away as a physical pain problem via decreased blood flow / reduced oxygenation.
SO, WHAT’S THE CURE?
This next part of the story is my favorite bit. Sarno discovered that the main cure for his patients’ many forms of chronic pain was simply to understand that the unconscious mind was using them to ‘hide’ some sort of emotional pain, usually related to repressed anger and / or repressed anxiety.
In Sarno’s experience, even just two hours of ‘education’ about the emotional causes of their pain was enough to actually permanently ‘cure’ the problem - with the proviso that his patients HAD to believe in the diagnosis that the root of their pain was emotional, and not structural.
And his success rates were phenomenal!
In one study done in 1987 with a group of 109 patients who’d all been clearly diagnosed with ‘herniated disk’, 88 percent reported that they were ‘free, or nearly free of pain’ and enjoying unrestricted physical activity, 10 percent said they were ‘improved, with some pain, and some restricted activity’ and 2 per cent - the two that had the most severe and persistent psychological issues - reported no change.
WHY DOES JUST KNOWING THE PROBLEM IS EMOTIONAL CURE THE PAIN?
Sarno was of the view that the unconscious mind was using physical pain to ‘divert attention’ away from emotions that the person felt overwhelmed by, or didn’t want to face or acknowledge. As soon as the patient ‘blew the cover’ of the physical pain by accepting that it was caused by an emotional issue (usually repressed anger or repressed anxiety) - the body could no longer use the physical pain as a diversion tactic, so it quickly stopped doing it.
Again, his books are full of letters from the thousands and thousands of people who Sarno successfully treated with this approach, most of whom had completely exhausted every other avenue of help and relief.
THE LAST WORD: SURGERY AS A PLACEBO EFFECT
As a last word, I just wanted to mention Sarno’s conviction that most surgery for these conditions - when it worked - was simply because it was acting as a sort of ‘placebo’ affect for the patient.
He reported that while many of his patients experienced some sort of temporary relief from their original pain (in those cases where it actually worked), typically the pain or problem would resurface in some other area, as the unconscious mind continued its diversion tactics to keep the person away from painful and overwhelming negative emotions.
Again, there’s so much to say about this subject but for now, I recommend that people take a look at Dr Sarno’s books for themselves (and maybe also the two I authored, mentioned above) and next time they have one of the physical issues listed here, to take a deep breath and ask themselves:
What am I angry or anxious about, that maybe I'm finding it hard to admit?
I’m taking a break from posting about ‘Electric People’, as I haven’t got time over the Summer holidays, with the kids home, to do all the research required for the next chapter. It will return soon, BH!
In the meantime, I just wanted to share what’s been going on with my eye, which kind of underlines why I started exploring a more ‘spiritual self-help’ approach to mental and physical health in the first place.
For as long as I can remember, conventional medicine just hasn’t worked for me. Whether it’s been big problems, smaller problems, whenever I’ve turned to a conventional doctor, they never really had a solution that resolved my problems - and not for lack of trying.
Up until a few years’ back, I dutifully did whatever the medical experts told me - and usually not only did it not help, there were occasions when it even made things worse.
That’s when I started going down the more ‘alternative’ route, and initially, being super-fanatical about the food I was eating made a huge difference…
But not all the difference. And over time, the same health issues reappeared again, regardless of whether I was eating my sprouted spelt bread and drinking a green smoothie every day.
That’s when I started to realize that something else is going on here, when it comes to human health.
If the ‘problem’, whatever it is, is really only at the body level of a person - that they’re aren’t sleeping enough or eating enough vits, etc - then doing things at the ‘body’ level will resolve the problem.
It should be noted here that conventional medicine ONLY deals with health issues - bizarrely, even emotional and mental health issues - at the level of the body, and often in such a clumsy way, their ‘solution’ can end up causing more damage than the original problem.
But there are two more stages of the human experience that also profoundly impact our health, too, namely our mind, mental state and emotions, and our soul, or spiritual connection to God.
If ‘the health problem’, whatever it is, is actually rooted in either the mental / emotional or spiritual realms, then just tackling it at the level of the body simply isn’t going to work.
And that’s why conventional medicine really doesn’t work for me. Now that I eat well enough, and I exercise enough, and I sleep enough, there’s really nothing else to do on that front. All my health issues - yes, I’m talking about my physical health issues here - are rooted in negative states of mind, unhelpful subconscious processes and spiritual unfinished business.
No pill is going to help me get over the anger that’s causing my inner tension, headaches and eye strain.
Only changing my attitudes and behaviors (with a little help from God…), and really understanding why I’m angry in the first place, can do that.
Again, if the problem is rooted in the physical realm, then a physical response or medication will help to clear it up. But if it isn’t, or if some of the problem at least is rooted in mental / emotional and / or spiritual stuff, then taking a solely physical approach simply isn’t going to work to curing it.
And that’s why conventional medicine really doesn’t work for me - and that’s also why it’s increasingly not working for a whole bunch of other people, too.
One of the key things to look for with solar activity, is the 11-year solar cycle, which usually ends with a bunch of dramatic things like mass ejections of the sun's corona, solar flares, heatwaves - and huge increases in mortalities, heart attacks and severe episodes of mental illness.
A Washington Times article from a couple of years' back noted that the Russian Institute of North Industrial Ecology Problems (INEP), had found that:
“From 1949-1997…. geomagnetic activity showed three seasonal peaks each of those years (March to May, in July, and in October). Every peak matched an increased incidence of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and suicide in the city Kirovsk.”

Many studies have theorized on the relationship between increased solar activity and it’s effect on melatonin production in the pineal gland of the brain. Melatonin is essential in maintaining circadian rhythm – the 24-hour sleep-wake cycle that is essential to our well-being.
HELIOBIOLOGY AND RUSSIANS
The Russian medical community has been far ahead of the West in exploring the more holistic side to human health. Heliobiology, the study of the sun's impact on human health, was begun in Russia more than a hundred years ago. The following excerpt comes from The Great Soviet Encyclopedia (1979):

TO SUM THINGS UP:
There is already a huge body of research, most of which has been completely ignored by narrow-minded Western medicine, that shows that solar flares, solar storms, and the 11 year solar cycle have a massive impact on human health.
When there is a lot of solar activity, 5% more people die a year, 36% more people are admitted to hospital because of serious depression, there are more flu pandemics, more e-coli outbreaks, the number of people having heart-attacks go up (myocardial infarctions are another name for heart-attacks), the number of people having strokes go up, the number of people feeling completely and utterly stressed out of the skulls go up - and it's all linked to how we, as electric people, interact with the the increased solar energy being shot down at planet earth.
In turn, when people feel more stressed out / anxious / depressed / ill etc - they start thinking and acting in crazy ways. Wars start, arguments begin...
So now we're starting to figure out the connections a little more between solar / geomagnetic activity and human health and behaviour, what can we actually DO about it?

The pineal gland is a very small gland in the centre of the cranium that produces both melatonin and serotonin. These two neurohormones have a profound affect on so many of the human body’s biological functions, including directly controlling all the biocycles. (The pineal gland is often associated with the ‘third eye’.)
Research shows that the pineal gland is strongly influenced by very small magnetic fields.
Even applying a tiny magnetic field of less than half a gauss has been shown by many different researchers to increase or decrease the amounts of melatonin and serotonin being produced by the pineal gland.
With all the hype about a lack of serotonin being at the root of clinical depression, and an imbalance in melatonin being linked to other mental disorders, it seems that electromagnetism may actually hold some of the solution to both of these issues.
How? Read on!
Other researchers have noted that the pineal gland’s cells actually change, physically, in response to a varying magnetic field. In another poorly understood twist, research has also discovered that shining a light on the head somehow modifies the amount of hormone the pineal gland produces - even though the gland is buried so deeply inside the brain, it can’t be directly reacting to this light.
(Which could this also hold the key to understanding - and finally resolving - Seasonal Affective Disorder….)
This next bit is a little crazy, but human beings actually have ‘mini magnets’ in our brains, which is another one of the reasons why we’re so affected by electro-magnetic forces.
MAGNETITE IN THE BRAIN
Experiments began in the 1970s which started to prove the ‘magnetic sense’ of human beings, and other living creatures, right down to even the most apparently simple bacteria.
In 1975, researcher Richard Blakemore found that even certain bacterium had a pronounced ‘magnetic sense’, that resulted from a chain of tiny magnetite microcrystals. Building on Blakemore’s work, researchers Charles Walcott and Robert Green of State University in New York started looking for magnetite deposits in the brains of homing pigeons - and found them on the right side of the bird’s head, between the brain and the skull.
Eight years’ later, a researcher working at the University of Manchester, Robin Baker, reported that he’d found magnetic deposits in the human brain, located close to both the pineal and pituitary glands, in the sinuses of the ethmoid bone. The ethmoid bone is a spongy bone located in the centre of the head, behind the nose and between the eyes.
Bob Becker postulated that this magnetic sense in the ethmoid bone was responsible for transmitting the ‘cues’ from the earth’s electromagnetic field to the human pineal gland responsible for maintaining the body’s circadian rhythm and biocycles.
Big changes in the the earth’s electromagnetic field could severely throw-out a human being’s biocycles - with enormous consequences for their mental and physical health. Becker’s theory was ratified a couple of decades later, by Russian scientists.
SOLAR FLARES AND CRAZY TIMES
In December 2008, New Scientist Magazine published a study by Russian researcher Oleg Shumilov which suggested there’s a direct connection between the Sun’s solar storms, and biological effects in human.
“Many animals can sense the Earth’s magnetic field, so why not people, asks Oleg Shumilov of the Institute of North Industrial Ecology Problems in Russia.
The article in New Scientist continued:
“The most plausible explanation for the association between geomagnetic activity and depression and suicide is that geomagnetic storms can desynchronize circadian rhythms and melatonin production,” says Kelly Posner, a psychiatrist at Columbia University in the US. The pineal gland, which regulates circadian rhythm and melatonin production, is sensitive to magnetic fields. “The circadian regulatory system depends upon repeated environmental cues to [synchronize] internal clocks,” says Posner. “Magnetic fields may be one of these environmental cues.”
In the next post, we’ll start to see if we can map any major changes in the ‘solar weather’ over the last five years, with any major changes in the human condition, both on the personal and international levels.

Today’s science, particularly medical science, effectively ignores and misses the ‘electro-magnetic’ dimension to human health because they study dead cells and inanimate material in laboratory conditions.
When a cell is in a living body, it has electrical properties, and is effected by electro-magnetic forces, that simply can’t be replicated in a fertilization dish. When there is an electric field being produced, there is also a magnetic field being produced, and this electromagnetic force is constantly changing, and producing different affects on the cells and processes within a living body.
Again, this is BIO-PHYSICS, as opposed to the current approach of BIO-CHEMISTRY, and it has enormous repercussions for how human health should be viewed and treated.
Even when those rare medical researchers do appear who are willing to challenge the accepted norms of modern medicine in their quest for real answers, their work still goes ignored and challenged by the mainstream medical community.
One such doctor is Dr Ray Makela, who has been producing a wide body of research into the bio-physical nature of human health for decades, already. Some of Dr Makela’s major findings include:

Over the next few posts, I will BH bring more of the research to show how solar flares, environmental factors, stress and negative emotions are all linked together, electro-magnetically, and affecting every aspect of our mental and physical health.
The take home message from this post is this:
The body is bio-electric. Cells are profoundly shaped by electro-magnetic forces, and the way those electro-magnetic forces play out in the body’s cells is the basic cause of all physical and mental illnesses, including heart disease, strokes, cancer and depression.
A key way of reducing the negative aspects of the body’s electro-magnetic activity is by talking to God on a regular basis.
A few years' ago, we moved house a month before hayfever season, to a new neighbourhood in Israel. A few weeks' later, my eldest daughter woke up wheezing and struggling to breathe. We panicked, and like all good, responsible parents, we rushed her off to the emergency clinic (where else?). A couple of hours' later, she came back with a whole breathing machine, a face mask, a few packets of various drugs, and an official diagnosis of 'asthma'.
The doctor who diagnosed her was a genuinely caring, sweet, lovely religious man, which only underscores some of the enormous problems with modern medicine, because he was clearly trying to help us, and my daughter.
Yet no-one told us that asthma is often connected to stress, or emotional issues. No-one suggested that maybe, the asthma wasn't even really asthma, and maybe was just an allergic hayfever reaction, given the time of year (my daughter already had multiple food allergies, at that point).
We were just given a very fast diagnosis, a blue and a brown inhaler, and at the tender age of 6, my daughter turned into an 'asthmatic' overnight.
My daughter is very sensitive. Now she knew she was officially an 'asthmatic' with breathing problems, her stress shot through the roof, and her asthma worsened accordingly. She got stressed when she thought about exercising with asthma; stressed about school outings with asthma; stressed about doing exams with asthma - and as soon as she got stressed, on cue, the asthma would appear.
In all the years I've been refilling the prescription for the Ventolin, not one doctor ever explained to me that the same inhaler that was helping my daughter to breathe better in the middle of a crisis was actually also worsening the fundamental problem. It's scientifically proven that the more you use inhalers, the more asthma attacks you get. Why didn't anyone tell me that?
Why didn't anyone mention that people have died from over-using certain brands of asthma inhalers? I had no idea that inhalers were even remotely dangerous until a year ago when my daughter came back from a school trip with blue lips, and severe breathing issues, from using her puff 8 times in a row.
That's when I started to really research this amazing, safe, solution to my daughters' asthma, and I was shocked to see all the potential issues, side-effects and long-term problems associated with using inhalers (some of which have already been withdrawn from the market, as the stats on deaths from using 'beta agonists' are starting to stack up).
For example, a lot of the 'regular' (ie, not considered to be serious) side affects from inhalers show up in tachycardia, heart palpitations and tremors.
Three years' after my daughter's 'asthma' diagnosis, she went through a very stressful time in school, and was using her puff 4-5 times a day (well within prescribed limits). Within a couple of weeks of that episode, she was at the doctor with a bad case of flu when he listened to her heart, and told me I should go and take her for an EKG…
Baruch Hashem, nothing came of that. But only recently did I realise that what was causing the 'heart problem', whatever it was, was her asthma inhaler. How come the doctor didn't make that connection?
Last year, we started to make a concerted effort to get her off the puff, and thank G-d, her use is now way, way down. All this happened before I learnt energy medicine, so it took a lot of praying, a lot of essential oils and Su Jok, and a lot of massage - in that order.
We still have the inhaler (I got given four on my last visit to the doctor…) - but it's strictly for emergencies, now that we know that it's actually a dangerous drug. But as I said, the less we're using the puff, the less asthma my daughter actually has - and life's still been pretty stressful.
With hindsight, I don't think she had asthma in the first place. I think she had severe hayfever (she gets hayfever every year). By being so quick to diagnose asthma, that kind, caring doctor set my daughter on a path where she was scared to exercise (exacerbating the problem…); stressed about being away from her puff (exacerbating the problem…); and starting to get unexplained heart palpitations from her prescription medicine (exacerbating the problem…)
There has to be a better way, don't you think?
So now that you know that the Theory of Evolution is completely unproven, and never WILL be proven, and is arguably one of the biggest frauds ever perpetuated by the atheistically-inclined members of the scientific community, it’s time to take a look at the sort of damage this crazy theory has done to mankind, and particularly, to our mental health.
To sum it up as simply as possible, the Creationist view of life is that we’re here because God made us, and He made us for a specific purpose and reason (namely, to work on fixing our character and negative traits), and that everything that happens to us is meaningful, and for our ultimate spiritual good. This view encourages people to put God in the picture, to find meaning in their suffering, and to work on developing their altruistic spiritual self, as opposed to their purely materialistic ‘animal’ self.
By contrast, the ‘Darwinist’ view of life is that everything is random and happenstance, nothing is meaningful, planned or created, only ‘winners’ survive, and that it’s perfectly OK to act like the vicious evolved animal you really are, and to throw all thoughts of kindness, selflessness, generosity and empathy to the wind.
To sum up the contrast, on the one hand God is telling you that you’re almost an angel, and you need to behave like one, while Darwin is telling you that you’re effectively an animal, and you need to behave like one.
And boy o boy, has modern society been falling over itself to prove Darwin ‘right’. You only need to spend five seconds listening to the news, or one second surfing the internet, to see how more and more people are plain acting like the cruel, competitive, immoral, purely materialistic ‘animals’ that Darwin (and people like Richard Dawkins) have spent a lot of time convincing people they really are.
In the meantime, here’s a few quotes that you might want to consider in relation to how Godless-ness is creating more and more human misery and mental illness, including personality disorders like narcissism:
This post is just setting out the basic ideas of HOW Darwinism has empowered the worst excesses of human nature, leading to an explosion in mentally-ill ‘animalistic’ behaviors that are still being lauded as praiseworthy in a culture that has made ‘survival of the fittest’ its credo and religion.

how darwinism led to the modern epidemic of mental illness - Part 1: quotes that prove the theory of evolution is a crock
You know, it's amazing how many people continue to parrot pseudo-science about the Theory of Evolution, when it was disproved in scientific studies more than 40 years' ago, already.
Yet people continue to cling on to it as being the central tenet of modern scientific thought, solely because they can't bear to consider the alternative view, namely that God created the world, and that human beings are here for a spiritual purpose that goes far beyond their physical desires or wants.
Over the next few posts, I want to very briefly show you why the Theory of Evolution is a crock, and we'll do that today with quotes from scientists, because the people who like to spout Darwinian ideas always claim that 'only scientists' can understand why it's right.
(Yeah, like, whatever...)
Then, we'll move on to looking at how social Darwinism led directly to some very nasty things like Nazism, Hitler and the Third Reich, and then we'll look at how it sowed the seeds of the epidemic of mental illness that is currently engulfing the modern world.
I hope you'll find this as informative and eye-opening reading it, as I have researching it all.
NB: I stopped at 16 quotes, because hey, we already know that God created the world. But I literally could have given you hundreds and hundreds.

When something really is true, you don’t need to persuade other people of that with fancy arguments, theories and superior suggestions that you know more science than they do.
If something is true, you can prove it very simply.
When something is false - as the theory of evolution / neo-Darwinism - patently is, people can write whole books cooking up elaborate excuses for why the facts on the ground simply don’t fit.
But once again, when something is TRUE, it can be easily demonstrated as being TRUE to just about anyone who has even limited intelligence, as long as the pursuit of truth is more important to the individual than the pursuit of being ‘right’.
THERE IS NO SCIENCE THAT PROVES THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION IS RIGHT.
Every time we get 'stuck' obsessing over organic food, or thinking that the meds we got from the GP are going to take care of all our health problems, we're getting stuck at the first, or most basic level of the soul pyramid.
Good health and happiness depends on each one of the five levels of soul being taken into account, and properly addressed. For example, that's why many physical illnesses are rooted in emotional issues - which are stemming from the second level of the soul that deals with emotions.
You can drink all the green tea you like and eat sprout bread until you're blue in the face, but if you don't deal with the emotional aspects of your physical illnesses, they'll still pop again in the future.
True holistic health has to take all five levels into account, and ascertain WHERE the real, root problem is coming from.
