They continued aching all day, and were so achy at night, I actually woke up a couple of times from the discomfort.
Now that I've learnt how to check which meridians might be out via the Pulses (which takes a whole minute and a half…) I asked my husband to help me, and we got the following info:
Heart, spleen, lungs and small intestine meridians were all out. Spleen is always out on pretty much everyone, as that's just how it is these days. It's the power of compassion, it's the power of assimilation, it's the power of happiness, all things that in pretty short supply these days, unless we really work on them.
But the other three were very interesting as they're all meridians that run down the arms. No wonder my arms were so achy, if the energy in all three was weak or blocked.
I rubbed the relevant neurolymphatic point for each meridian for a few seconds, to get the energy flowing again and to break up any superficial 'blocks', and then got my husband to retest me: heart was still out.
When massaging the neurolymphatics doesn't 'fix' a meridian, that's when you know you’ve hit the deeper work to do.
As I've written about before, whenever I feel like a war is in the offing, or something similar, I start to get 'heart meridian' issues, and my arms start feeling weak. It happened last year, a few weeks' before the Summer's war with Hamas, and it's happening again now.
At least this year, I had slightly more of a clue as to what was causing the problem, at least physically, and what to do about it, at least physically. I held the 'heart strengthening' acupressure points for a few minutes, and the ache decreased dramatically. By the next day, the arms felt almost back to normal.
Problem apparently solved, on the physical level.
Again, what it all means emotionally and spiritually, I still don't know. Spiritually- speaking, the heart is the only thing that can stand up to our evil inclination, including its meridian counter-part, the Triple Warmer.
Clearly, there's a big battle going on between my inclination for good, and my inclination for evil. Hopefully, that's the only war that's happening right now. And I sincerely hope it stays that way.
